The Scottish Motorcycle Show moves to Royal Highland Centre Ingliston 11th-12th
We attend the new location of the Scottish Motorcycle Show; have our own EDAM stand and exceed numbers of new associates taken, with more visitors on the first day than the two days at Brunton Hall.
Wednesday 22 March
Final AGM of the motorcycle section held at Viewpoint House Oswald Road Edinburgh
As in the past years, this is held at the conclusion of the AGM of the main car group. The members of Motorcycle section are asked to approve the audited accounts of the section, have the funds and assets transferred to the Edinburgh & District Advanced Motorcyclists Group.
It was noted; By the time EDAM was formed in 1995 the vast majority of the membership was from Edinburgh & the Lothians. We also had a growing number of Associate members from Fife, Falkirk, Lanarkshire Galahiels, Hawick, Carlisle, Dumfriesshire and of course New Zealand.
Each year, in as much as we manage to increase the number of Observers, numbers of new associates increase also. Which is no bad thing, after all this is what we are here for. Over the years we are never without an associate waiting list. We would often start the year with a few names from the previous year, whilst we would recruit new names each year at the bike show in March to start all over again. A victim of our own success.
Now in 1995 you were watching Clueless and listening to Shaggy while wishing you owned a VFR 750.
