Edinburgh & District Advanced Motorcyclists, EDAM, is a local group affiliated to IAM RoadSmart.

Our aim is to improve the road safety and riding skills of bikers in the Edinburgh & Lothians through our trained volunteer observer team.

Public Events

You don't need to be a member of EDAM to join these runs or events, they are open to all, come along and meet some of the members.

 

Ensure you RSVP to the invite so we have a good idea of how many people are comming along.

OUR STORY

We improve road safety by coaching riders to help them become better riders and to pass the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider course. We organise and manage further advanced training for our members and lead group runs across the country.

EDAM are the oldest IAM associated bike group in Scotland, having formed on 1st March 1995 from the original advanced motorists group.

EDAM are the local provider for the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider course across Edinburgh and The Lothians. 

 

Our trained observers will coach you through the course to help you become a better rider and pass your advanced rider test.
